Google Adsense

This kind of way to make money is very simple and easy to use. You have to sign up from Google to become an Affiliate to run ads on your website. Just create a Google account like you should have anyways to check your analytic data for your website.

Google AdSense is a free program that empowers online publishers to earn revenue by displaying relevant ads on a wide variety of online content, including:

Site search results

Easily add a custom search engine to your site, and earn from ads on the search results pages.

Websites

Display ads on your website that are suited to your audience s interests, and earn from valid clicks or impressions.

Mobile web pages and applications

Connect your mobile users with the right ad at the right time as they seek information on the go.

Ad Placement

When placing your Google Adsense or any other ads on your website, make sure you don't have too many of them because that looks bad, and make sure the ads are placed in the correct location on your page.

There are a number of different ad sizes and also you can have text, image, and both text and image ads. Make use of all the sizes and the different ads.

Try to get ads that are relevant to the page content. Don't have things that are way out to lunch.

Affiliate Programs

What is an Affiliate Program?

Affiliate marketing is a very popular practice on the Internet. Under this system you have a merchant that is willing to let other people (the affiliates) sell directly or indirectly its products and services, in exchange for a commission. Sometimes this type of advertising is also called CPA (cost per action) or CPL (cost per lead) based.

On your website, you can send potential customers to the merchant using several tools, from banners to text links and product reviews. Normally these are easy to implement into your website such as java code & html.  It’s as simple as copy and paste!

There are countless amounts of affiliate programs to join and to sell almost anything. Some of course are better than others, but you have to join ones that are associated with your website and the products and services you wish to sell.

EStore

What is an estore?

An estore is a store you design regarding your products and services you offer on your website.

You can make an estore from an Affiliate such as Amazon very easily and you sell things from your site and it gets processed at the retailer location. There is no risk at all to you. You are just a middle man selling that retailers products on your website and making a commission doing so.

Sponsorship – Advertisement on your website

It’s just like it sounds, you have to find someone or some business sponsor your website. They can put ads on your website, and they can advertise their products and services while they pay you for your space.

Google has something similar and it’s for websites that are not being used right at the moment. It’s called Adsense for Domain.

AdSense for domains allows publishers with undeveloped domains to help users by providing relevant information including ads, links and search results.

With AdSense for domains, users can find relevant information rather than see empty pages or "page not found" errors. To ensure positive user experience and the quality of our network, these sites are monitored for policy compliance and prohibited from using text and images designed to confuse users.

AdSense for domains provides advertisers with additional opportunities to find their customers, and ads on these pages convert well. In addition, we regularly receive requests from advertisers who have found domains to be an effective way to reach their users.

If you have undeveloped domains, then AdSense for domains can help your users. To get started, check out our setup instructions, and visit our Help Center for more information.

Drop shipping

What is drop shipping?

It’s similar to an estore, but it’s a better way to make money.  It’s a better way to make more money as well. But, it’s not as risk free as the estore program.

So, it’s like this.

You find a wholesale drop shipping company whom will sell you products at a cheaper price than the regular retail price and you find a wholesaler that sells products you want to sell on your website.

You set up your products on your online store and people buy them from you through your check-out system you have.

You then put your order in to your wholesaler and they ship it to your customer at a way cheaper cost. They even put your store information on it. The customer does not have any idea that the product is coming from someone other than you. Its ingenious actually.

The only issue is that you have to deal with product warranty issue and other issues that arise because you are the person whom sold that product to your customer. This is the ONLY downfall to the drop shipping experience.

PayPal Donation

If you have a site and have lots of information on it that helps people out, why not add a PayPal button to ask for donations to help you build your site bigger and better.

Donations are tax free and if you receive a donation from someone, make sure you send a reply email thanking them for their generosity.

Don't put your PayPal button all over the place because that tells people that's all your interested in.  Place it smartly like this to the right.

Have a note beside your PayPal button to ask nicely for a donation. In order to get someone to donate (give you money) make sure you have enough information or services for them so they are getting something valuable from you. Just don’t ask for a donation if you are not providing your visitors with very valuable content. This would be considered scamming people and this is not the right thing to do.  I suggest not even asking for a donation and just having a button there and if people feel generous, they will donate and give you something.

Paid for Surveys

You can find organizations or businesses that will pay you for doing surveys on your website. It is very risk free and helps out a bit with your costs to your website and for adding your content on the website. Do not put too much content on your website as this takes your website too long to load and it does not look very good.

It will not get you rich!

There is not a simple get rich way to making money

You just have to be persistent and work hard at it. Make sure you always update your website on a daily basis is possible.

Remember the KEY – PROVIDE VALUABLE INFORMATION & if you do so, you will increase your visitors, then your sales and income...

*****UPDATE *****
I have added some more details about some of the above methods to help you even more to make money on your website. Please continue to read the below add ons I have added.

What is Google Adsense?

There are a number of different ad sizes and also you can have text, image, and both text and image ads. Make use of all the sizes and the different ads.

Try to get ads that are relevant to the page content. Don't have things that are way out to lunch.

Example...

I have a website on web building, don't put ads about race cars, or classic cars on it.  It would not make sense.  Instead, I have put ads about website design, builders, domain name, help with programming code, and so on. I have tried to make the ad fit the page content.

Should I use Google Adsense in my Website?

If you are selling products and/or services, should you add Google adsense ad's to your website?

Think about this. If you are trying to get people to come to your website, the last thing you need to do is send them away from your website to go to another and purchase that website's products and/or services.

I do not put Google adsense ad's on my website because I want my customers to stay on my site, not leave to go to another website.

Just my opinion.

Google Heat map

Best locations to ad Google adsense ads on your website if you are going that way.

Below is a GOOGLE HEAT MAP for Adsense Placement

Certain locations tend to be more successful than others. This "heat map" illustrates the ideal placing on a sample page layout. The colors fade from dark orange (strongest performance) to light yellow (weakest performance). All other things being equal, ads located above the fold tend to perform better than those below the fold. Ads placed near rich content and navigational aids usually do well because users are focused on those areas of a page.

While this heat map is useful as a positioning guideline, we strongly recommend putting your users first when deciding on ad location. Think about their behaviour on different pages, and what will be most useful and visible to them. You'll find that the most optimal ad position isn't always what you expect on certain pages.

For example, on pages where users are typically focused on reading an article, ads placed directly below the end of the editorial content tend to perform very well. It's almost as if users finish reading and ask themselves, "What can I do next?" Precisely targeted ads can answer that question for them.

Affiliate Programs

What is an Affiliate Program?

Affiliates can send potential customers to the merchant using several tools, from banners to text links and product reviews.

Affiliate Marketing is a revenue sharing venture between a website owner and an online merchant. The website owner will place advertisements on his websites to either help sell the merchant s products or to send potential customers to the merchant s website, all in exchange for a share of the profits.

There are three ways to earn money through affiliate marketing:

Pay Per Click — Every time a potential customer leaves the affiliate website by "clicking" on the link leading to the merchant s website, a certain amount of money is deposited in the affiliate s account. This amount can be pennies or dollars depending on the product and amount of the commission.

Pay Per Sale — Every time a sale is made as a result of advertising on the affiliates website, a percentage, or commission, is deposited into the affiliates account.

Pay Per Lead — Every time a potential client registers at the merchants website as a result of the advertisement on the affiliates account, a previously determined amount is deposited into the affiliate s account.

For many website owners, this is a great way to earn some extra money without actually having to "do" anything. All it involves is placing an ad on the affiliate s website. There s no selling or promotion of any kind. The affiliate can just sit back and wait for the profits to roll in.

It s also beneficial to the merchant. By placing affiliate marketing advertising on websites all over the Internet, he has free advertising and doesn't need to do much selling on his own. The more websites a merchant is affiliated with, the more exposure his products get, and all he has to do is allow ads for his products to appear on someone elses website.

While affiliate marketing has its benefits, there are also a few cons. For instance, the merchant has to share the profits with an outside party. If an affiliate uses unsavory means to bring customers to his website and sell the merchants products, the merchant will also have to contend with doing a little damage control on his reputation.

The affiliate has to do thorough research on the merchant before agreeing to affiliation. To not do so can mean ending up with a merchant who refuses to pay commission fees or packs up his business and moves on without informing any of his affiliates. This is rare, however, and most merchants and affiliates have a pleasant and profitable business arrangement.

It's important to choose wisely. In some cases, an ad can be placed on an affiliate s website for months before a potential customer "clicks" or purchases something. If the commission is only pennies, this can lead to a frustrating relationship. Both the affiliate and the merchant are well advised to ensure the relationship will be mutually beneficial.

Affiliate marketing is considered one of the best ways to earn money online. If this is an avenue you wish to pursue, you'd be well advised to research each merchant thoroughly. After that, there s not much else to do except wait for the profits to roll in!

There are countless amounts of affiliate programs to join and to sell almost anything. Some of course are better than others, but you have to join ones that are associated with your website and the products and services you wish to sell.

What Is Drop Shipping?

A retailing practice of sending items from a manufacturer directly to a customer. What you do is very simple. You set up an account with a drop ship warehouse of some sort. You then advertise their products on your website at your markup price you choose, then you sell them to the customer.  After the customer has purchased something from you, you go to the warehouse and purchase it online and they go a head and ship it to your customer with your business label on the package.

This system is very cool and you can make lots of money. It really depends on a few things. First off, you need to have a product that is in demand and there is not too much competition out there. Second off, you need to be ranked high on the search engines, or spend LOTS of money advertising your website. How else will people find you?

Another explanation for you.

Drop shipping is a supply chain management technique in which the retailer does not keep goods in stock, but instead transfers customer orders and shipment details to either the manufacturer or a wholesaler, who then ships the goods directly to the customer. As in all retail businesses, the retailers make their profit on the difference between the wholesale and retail price.

Another explanation for you

Drop shipping is a process of selling Products without having to stock any overhead. You would sell the merchandise at a cost you would determine. After the customer pays you for the item, you would pay the supplier their price and send them your customer's details. They drop ship the product out to the customer, and the difference between your price and the suppliers price is your profit, all to keep!
